People who like to breathe - We inhale and exhale an average of 6,254 times a day. Our cars and factories are polluting the air with carbon dioxide (CO2). People don't react well when they are breathing too much CO2. Fast growing kenaf absorbs CO2 faster than trees on a per acre, per year basis. Kenaf converts the carbon atom of CO2 to cellulose, and transpires the oxygen atoms back into the atmosphere. Growing kenaf provides a real benefit to the problem of ozone depletion and global warming. Using kenaf also allows trees to remain standing, and doing their job of absorbing CO2. Using kenaf paper will allow us all to breathe a little easier.
