Who Should Like Kenaf?
Birds and bees like it. But what about human beings?

Following is a list of the types of folks who should like using kenaf for paper instead of trees

People who like to breathe -
We inhale and exhale an average of 6,254 times a day. Our cars and factories are polluting the air with carbon dioxide (CO2). People don't react well when they are breathing too much CO2. Fast growing kenaf absorbs CO2 faster than trees on a per acre, per year basis. Kenaf  converts the carbon atom of CO2 to cellulose, and transpires the oxygen atoms back into the atmosphere. Growing kenaf provides a real benefit to the problem of ozone depletion and global warming. Using kenaf also allows trees to remain standing, and doing their job of absorbing CO2. Using kenaf paper will allow us all to breathe a little easier.

People who like to eat-
Agriculture is the lifeline of our civilization providing most of the food for the over 6 billion people on the planet. Modern agriculture has become highly productive because of genetic modification and chemical use. Worms are hard to find in many agriculture fields. The soil is being sterilized. Who knows what might occur as a result of bioengineering? Control of the food supply is consolidating, and falling into the hands of a few multinational corporations. It's an issue of national security, or should be. Small farmers are going out of business. One major problem is a lack of crop diversity. According to US Department of Agriculture
